New GRUVN full foam paddles approved – Coming soon

We have some great news to share: We recently had two new full foam paddles approved by USAP!

 

 

We will have two new full foam series that will both sell for $169.
Each series has a different core and a different surface to provide more choices for players.
They should be available to ship to customers ~ Dec 30th. We were hoping they’d be available for Christmas but unfortunately not to be.
Each series will have three shapes: X, HD, and S. Just one shape of each series has been approved for now, the other 4 will be submitted to USAP mid-December for approval.

 

MUVN Full Foam series
– Carbon fiber surface
– Unique 3-layer floating foam core: This is similar to the core from the USAP-approved LAZR-16HD Solid Foam paddle that passed in May, but the foam material in the middle layer is different. The outer layers are EPP, which is more elastic and good for ball control. The foam material in the middle layer has a higher density and is harder, which is beneficial for ball speed and power. Overall, it will produce a trampoline effect. We used special glue to bond the core layers and the surface to improve durability.
– Thermoformed sealed edges and foam injected walls around the paddle’s edges
– Handle is honeycomb polypropylene to keep the weight down (similar to Boomstick, Loco, others)

>> 2 color options for each shape. One will have black edge guard and perforated cushion grip (like original MUVN paddles). one will have a gradient edge guard with white flat grip (a replacement perforated cushion grip will be included with each paddle that has a flat grip)

 

– Play style: Low-tier power to All-court. Great feel with solid power and pop. A bit more dwell time than the LAZR Full Foam series.

– Hybrid shape with 5.5″ handle length

– Kevlar-carbon fiber blend surface
– Dual-density full-foam core: EPP full foam core surrounded by softer EVA foam. Has a gap between EPP and EVA to prevent layers from separating over time.
– Edge foam starts at the neck and extends into the handle
– Thermoformed
– Handle is honeycomb polypropylene

>> 2 color options for each shape. Red blend and blue blend

 

– Play style: Low-tier power to All-court. Bit more pop than the MUVN Full Foam series.

 

1st approved model: LAZR-16X Full Foam
– Swing Weight: ~ 117
– Twist Weight: ~ 6.46
– Spin Rate: 2178 RPM
– Weight ~ 8.1 oz
– Balance point ~ 243

 

Pre-orders will be available around Dec 7th, that info will be posted to GRUVN’s socials and will post here as well.

 

The original plan was for these 6 paddles to be approved first week of June and then work on a power paddle, but unfortunately it took 6 more months to get two of these to pass PBCoR 0.43. Yep, pain in the ass. The next 4 shapes should pass. Will be working on a power paddle for 2026, pretty stoked about that.

LAZR-16HD Solid Foam update: Back in Stock and Special Offer

Hello all, here is an update regarding the LAZR-16HD Solid Foam paddle:

1. The LAZR-16HD Solid Foam is back in stock
2. Recently the website was updated with news about the testing results from USAP regarding the PBCoR results (power) for this paddle. A post should have been sent out to all ambassadors as well, my apologies for that.

The LAZR-16HD Solid Foam tested at the PBCoR Max limit of 0.44. The max limit changes to 0.43 in November, 2025. This paddle can be used in competition up until May 1, 2026. I had thought the paddles would be grandfathered and be allowed in tournaments after that date. May 1st, 2026 is still a long time away, 8 1/2 months. Many players switch up paddles within that time, but to make this paddle an easier sell, there is a SPECIAL OFFER:

>> Anyone who purchases the LAZR-16HD Solid Foam paddle will receive 70% off any other GRUVN paddle up to May 1st, 2026. 

We will have new LAZR and MUVN Solid Foam paddles that pass 0.43 before then (3 shapes of each: X, HD, S).

I’ve been working on some changes to the core to get the new full foam paddles to pass 0.43, and I’m really excited to have them available when ready.

Currently working on the MUVN-16HD Full Foam first, and when that eventually gets approved, I’ll work on the X and S shapes for the MUVN Full Foam series, and also the new LAZR-16HD Full Foam. Since the new hybrid shape of the LAZR Full Foam needs a new name from the current one that tested at 0.44, I’ve decided to replace ‘Solid Foam’ in the model names to ‘Full Foam’. That’s the term most people use and it’s also easier to say.

LAZR-16HD SOLID FOAM paddle available for Pre-Order. Only $179USD!

Our first solid foam core paddle is now available for pre-order, with a shipping date of ~July 22nd to customers.

The LAZR-16HD SOLID FOAM is our first full foam paddle to be approved by USAP. It tested at the very max limit of PBCoR (power): 0.44
Although it tested at the max power limit, it does not feel as powerful as the hardest power paddles out there, but the paddle reviewers who have played with it have either placed it in the all-court leaning power category, or power category (opinions always vary, of course!). Reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with great stability, power, pop, and control being the words most often used to describe it. One reviewer wrote this: “Just enough pop to feel aggressive during speedups and hand battles while still maintaining enough control to block and reset”.

The cost for all GRUVN Solid Foam paddles will be only $179USD, which is much lower than other full foam paddles currently on the market.

Our solid foam core is unique from other full foam paddles. We developed a unique blend of foam materials. The solid foam core solves the problem of core crushing that can occur with thermoformed paddles that have a polypropylene core.

An ‘X’ and ‘S’ model for the LAZR SOLID FOAM series have been mailed into USAP for testing, and a MUVN-16HD SOLID FOAM paddle will be sent in for testing within a few weeks. When that gets approved, we’ll send in an ‘X’ and ‘S’ model as well. Our new ‘S’ shape is 15.9″ x 8.1″ with a 5.5″ handle length.

We will keep you posted on news about the Solid Foam paddles, and we will also post on our Instagram and Facebook accounts.

New CRUZN Carbon Fiber Paddles Available For Pre-Order. Only $99USD!!

Our new CRUZN Control Series is now available for pre-order for only $99USD!

They are high quality & very affordable carbon fiber paddles that are made for players who want a plush feeling paddle with a lot of control, yet also have a good amount of power. These will replace our RAW and CRUZ paddles, which are on sale until they sell out. The CRUZ paddles were meant to replace our RAW series, but some customers felt they were a bit too powerful and they preferred the way the RAW paddles felt. So the new CRUZN series are similar to the RAW paddles, with the only difference being the handles are all the same size, thinner (same thickness as the LAZR, MUVN, and CRUZ paddles), and are reinforced with carbon. The RAW paddles had different thicknesses for different paddles.

There are currently 4 shapes available:
CRUZN-16X – Elongated with 5.5″ handle
CRUZN-16H – Elongated with 5.875″ handle
CRUZN-16E – Elongated with 4.75″ handle
CRUZN-16S – Wide body/Standard with 5.5″ handle

We are waiting for USAP to approve the CRUZN-16HD (hybrid with a 5.5″ handle).
Once that is approved we will add a new post and add those to the website.

We are also testing out a new system where the posts to the Ambassador site will go directly to each ambassador’s email, so hopefully this gets to everybody. Moving forward, I’ll keep you all more up to date with news on new products!

MUVN Price Drop – $159

We recently dropped the price of our MUVN Thermoformed Power Series – Carbon Fiber paddles to $159. After adding our new LAZR Thermoformed Power Series – Kevlar + Carbon Fiber Blend paddles to our line-up at $169, we decided to lower the price of our MUVN series to $159. The LAZR paddles are more expensive to produce, and there are many other ‘Gen 2’ carbon fiber paddles on the market that were lower-priced than our MUVN series (but many that are higher priced). So to stay competitive in the marketplace, but still be in the top tier of paddles, we updated our pricing. We are in a good ‘sweet spot’ with our pricing, where some companies are selling their paddles for well over $200, and newer companies trying to get into the marketplace are selling their paddles for less.

The wide body shape provides a large sweet spot and room for error, and delivers stability and balance for all aspects of the game, including plays at the net and returning hard shots. The rounded top of the paddle face gives players an aerodynamic feel and great hand speed. Its 5.35” handle length is long enough for great two-handed swings and extended reaches across the court.
